Here's our first grader! I can hardly believe it! He was pretty cute. A couple of weeks ago, Aaron took the boys out school shopping while I steam cleaned our carpets. Samuel returned with a laptop bag for a backpack this year. Aaron said he honed in on it right away and didn't even really consider any of the other bags. Even Superman and Spiderman backpacks got rejected! He wanted one "just like Dad's."Samuel was having mixed feelings about school starting this year. When asked, he would say he felt "stupid about it." We could never figure out exactly what he meant by that :S
When Samuel got home he declared "had fun and some of my friends were there!" He likes his new teacher and I have a good vibe about her. She's very experienced and I'm hoping she'll be able to direct Samuel's energy in positive directions.
Adam spent part of the day flopping around the apartment and wondering when Samuel was going to get home. And he was sad this morning after we dropped Samuel off at school. Good thing we have our friend Kamdyn over to play today :)

I think Jackie loves it when brother and sister go back to school. She gets to do what she wants when she wants to and she doesn't have any bossy siblings telling her differently. hee hee
