The Three Piggy Opera

Samuel's grade school is a public school, but also a magnet school for performing arts. So every grade, twice a year, does some sort of production. On Friday, Samuel's first grade class gave their first play of the year, The Three Piggy Opera. A very cute rendition of the classic fairytale set to music.

(There he is, right in the middle!)

Samuel enjoyed it and played the roles of brick peddler and straw peddler. He got to do both since they did a cast switch after the first show and performed it again. Not a big deal since the whole show lasts about 15 minutes. The kids were all very cute and very proud of their accomplishment.

(He's on the far right in this picture)

The play consists of the kind of songs that are repetitive and easy for kids to learn. Also, they stick in your brain with the same kind of annoying cheerfulness of "It's a Small World".
