Getty Museum

On Thursday, I finally got to see the Getty Museum. What an awesome place! I loved it and will definitely return WITHOUT small children in tow.

The architecture is amazing and the grounds are beautiful! It has several galleries of famous and valuable works of art - lots of Rembrandt, Van Gogh and other amazing artists. Adam and I went with our friends Danielle and Michael and spent most of the day looking at beautiful things.

The gardens have a nice stone path zigzaging down to a main waterfall and hedge maze.

Unfortunately, the maze is surrounded by water and is inaccessible

The weather was wonderfully sunny (75 degrees), but it was very windy due to the proximity of the ocean and our altitude.

In this picture, way off in the distance (sorry, it's so hard to see), you can see the ocean.

There was a small children's are where the kids can make masks and do other interactive things. Adam and Michael liked the masks and fun bed area best.
