Poor Aaron! It looked like a perfectly harmless flask, but it had hidden teeth that were just waiting to sink into his thumb (imagine sinister music playing in the background) !
He quickly assessed the damage and promptly left everything in the sink and headed for the USC student health office. People in his lab were very nice to clean up the mess for him and the health office did a great job stitching him up! It's nice to have a good doctor on staff and several medical students just waiting to do something like this. His poor thumb required 8 (EIGHT!) stitches and they're not sure if he'll scar. Though, it seems likely to me.
I have a picture here of his poor didget, but should be viewed only by the strong of stomach. I've seen worse, but I don't want anyone to say I didn't warn them.
