Adam's Day at Disneyland

A friend from church had some free passes to Disneyland that had to be used on Thursday (details as to why-I don't know. I didn't ask, I was just grateful!). The boys did have school that day, but pulled them out and played hookey. Hey, how often do you get to go to Disneyland for free? And it had been Adam's birthday the day before, so that was excuse enough for us :)

Adam with Jessie while Samuel and I are on the roller coaster.

I forgot to pull out the camera for most of the trip since we were busy going on rides. Middle of the week in off season means the crowds are really small. We went on most everything we wanted to (some several times) and had a blast.

Adam and Woody.

Adam was a bit more timid on this trip and didn't like the rides that went too fast, so he skipped Space Mountain and got mad at the end of Splash Mountain. While the rest of us took turns going on the big roller coaster in California Adventure, Adam got to meet some of his favorite characters.

He also got to pose like Buzz Lightyear in an toy box display. What a cutie!

My excited boys just before take-off!

Adam was finally tall enough to do the Screamin' California roller coaster, but he didn't want to and I wouldn't have let him anyway. Still too much for Adam. Samuel on the other hand love, love, loved it! Aaron and I took turns and went twice each. Samuel went with us every time. So yeah, he went on it four times in a row! He was pretty wide-eyed by the end and we headed to a quieter attraction.

I could go on and on, I love me some Disneyland, but I won't bore you any more. All that matters is that Adam declared it, "the best birthday present EVER!" and slept hard all the way home :)
