On Tuesday afternoon, while I was putting away laundry, my boys suddenly got very quiet. This is always a very bad sign. I went to the living room and was stunned. I screeched, "Stop!", just as Adam was about to start cutting Samuel's hair with Samuel's school scissors. He had already taken a couple of small snips, nothing too serious, but it was obvious that Samuel had already had a go at Adam's hair. Adam had several prominent bald spots (and I mean bald) on the top of his head. I gasped and then severely scolded and put them in time out. All the while they protested that it was so hot that they needed to cool off and haircuts always made them feel cooler. Once they were settled in their time out spots, I went to my bathroom, closed the door and laughed and laughed. I remember doing my own haircuts a time or two. So, here are a couple of pictures and a video clip. The hair disaster is better seen in the video clip.
Samuel's looked pretty much as usual after his haircut, but Adam had to be completely buzzed. He likes it and calls it his "cool, bald head". I don't know if they've actually learned their lesson or not :P
