May the Force be with You

So, I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. For the first time in a loooong while, I sewed something. I made Aaron an Obi Wan Kenobi costume for Halloween. He has been growing a beard for the last couple of months (I know, ick!) and the combo looks good!

Most of you know that I detest facial hair on guys (with a few exceptions), but Aaron really wanted to try growing a beard. So we compromised and he got to grow one for Halloween and has promised to shave it by election day. And you all KNOW that I'm going to hold him to that!

Wow you did a great job! Both my own mother and mother-in-law are great seamstresses. I have no idea how to use a machine. Sad I know. I hope to one day learn to sew.

You know, I've got some friends who are members of the "Rebel Legion" - basically, they make Star Wars costumes and then go to parties and stuff. Look them up!

Great job on the costume!

And it's good to know that Aaron is able to graduate past the "caterpillar" that he sported back in the day. (I still find it LOL-funny how Trina reacted. Something about "Death to the caterpillar!" or some such battle-cry.)

But good for you! Way to use those mad sewing skillz!
