Halloween Fun

We had lots of fun for Halloween! Friday afternoon was Samuel's school costume parade and carnival. The only pictures I have of that are on my phone and I haven't unloaded those yet.

Later we went Trick or Treating with friends in the neighborhood just south of us. It's a terrific neightborhood, little traffic and lots of nice homes. Samuel was a ninja, Adam was Indiana Jones and Michael, our little friend, was a lion. They were sooo cute and were very excited about the glow sticks we gave them to wear. (Glowsticks are a great fun way to light your kids up at night so they can be seen. You can get them at the dollar store in packages of 10 for $1!)

We went up and down two blocks and the boys came home with full buckets! We were only gone for an hour, but the boys were exhausted and very happy. Adam even asked to quit and go home and that was a very clear signal that we were DONE!

When we got home, they quickly stripped off their costumes and poured out their buckets. They recovered some of their energy quickly at the sight of all that sugar.

Saturday night was our ward Trunk or Treat (trick or treating from a line-up of cars). It was lightly raining off and on, but thankfully, mostly off. The boys had a blast again and Aaron was able to show off his costume.

Some people got very creative this year made a "Pirate Ship" where the kids were given foam swords, entered the area through a sheet, fought "pirates" and then took their "treasure" (from the box of candy). It was awesome! It was a big hit of the night and our boys thought it was the best part of the party.

I did get a video clip, but it is very dark. Hope you can see something of the fun!

Here's a pic of the pirates' treasure box.

And another of my costumed and happy boys.

Wait a minute! You're only supposed to have 2 kids!! Did you miraculously have a pregnancy I didn't know about and give birth to a todler??? Or maybe "michael" is just a kid you babysit. Slighly more likely right??
