Dear Santa, I want.....

This last weekend was our Primary Christmas party. We went to an assisted living center and sang for the people there and then the kids got to sit on Santa's lap. My boys were so excited and they were some of the first ones to talk to Santa. This Santa was awesome and seemed very warm and approachable, even to the little ones.

Samuel went right up, said hello to Santa, and then recited his entire Christmas list. He was polite but definitely not shy! Poor Santa hadn't heard of half the toys Samuel wanted, but was game to learn the names of them.

This is one of those times when it pays for Adam to want to copy everything Samuel does. Adam went right up and sat on Santa's lap. He was a little quieter and shyer about talking to Santa, but was certainly willing. Adam did great! No crying or trauma like last year (last time, for days, he talked about how he didn't want to sit on Santa's lap again).

Here they are watching Santa enter the room. They were so excited! And they got a new book and a Christmas pattern pillowcase after they were done. The pillowcase came with a wonderful poem about having sweet dreams if you use it on Christmas night. If you want a copy, I'll send you one. I'm to lazy to get up and find it right now :P

It's so hard for it to really feel like Christmas when it's 60 degrees outside. Don't get me wrong. I love the weather, but I wouldn't mind just a nip in the air to help me get into the holiday spirit.

When I saw the pictures - I was wondering why they were wearing sandals in December - then I remembered you were in LA and it is warm year round! (although I still wear flip flops to take the kids to school and swimming!). Looks like they had fun! Christmas is such a wonderful time to have young children!! So cute :)
