He had a little bit of work to do that day, so the rest of us went across the street to the California Science Center. For those of you not from here, it's a lot like OMSI. Lots of hands on, cool exhibits that are great for kids and adults to learn new things about science. The boys love it and best of all, it's free! They ask for a donation as you go in, and I usually leave a few bucks, but this is one of the best deals in town!
This was one of Samuel's favorite exhibits. It's a program where you click on things and it shows how much energy things in a house uses and how to reduce the energy needed.
Adam likes the mini satellite tower and I had to convince him it wasn't something to climb.
We looked around for awhile and then headed outside for a snack break and to look at the rose garden. Everything was in bloom and smelled so good!
There is also a pretty fountain in the middle and I had to keep an eye on the boys to make sure they didn't try to jump in. It's against the rules and it was also windy and chilly out.
A low key and nice day. We finished off with a trip to the gift store and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (their Godiva cheesecake is devine!).
We were sorry to see them leave the next morning. We really enjoyed their visit and can't wait to see them again.
