Parents Visit: Universal Studios

Tuesday, we went to Universal Studios. We had a blast and got the great deal for Southern California residents (buy a day, get the rest of 2009 free!). We'll be going A LOT this year! It's certainly not as big as Disneyland, but it has fun things to do for all ages.

I couldn't get them to hold still for a pic.

There is a great kids play area, ball pit/building and water park. There's even a locker room/ changing room next to it! Nice for hot days, but it was a pretty mild day when we visited. The boys got a little wet (Aaron got soaked) and loved the kids area.

My mom is a big fan of Lucy

We did the Jurassic Park ride too late in the day and I got soaked. But the big rides have a great room where parents can wait with their little kids and then switch off. The waiting parents get a ticket (kinda like the fast-pass thing at Disneyland) and then they get to go through to the head of the line. Great idea and my boys didn't mind waiting with such fun things to play on and a movie continuously playing.

We ended our day with a delicious italian dinner at Buca di Beppo and made our way home in the rain that started.
