Science Project

This week, Samuel had a Science Fair at school. All of the kids in the school had to pick a topic, do an experiment and report on it in their classes. Wednesday night was an Open House and all the projects were displayed.

Samuel's project was about light. His main question was "Is Light A Wave?" and we did a light wave displacement experiment. We put two pieces of thread over the light of a laser pointer and looked at the displacement pattern on the wall.

Here he's holding his laser pointer attached to an egg carton. He then would place the carton on a table and the light would be steady enough to look at on the wall.

He was very excited and proud to present his project and he did a great job! He was so cute and he pretty clearly explained the whole thing.

He's possibly another scientist in the making?
