Stake Fair Day

Today was our Stake Fair Day. Our stake puts on a nice mini-fair to kick-off the summer and it's always a blast. They have water slides, bounce houses, pony rides, petting zoo, train rides, and lots of food. It was overcast, but not too cold this year. A little cool for the water rides, but just right for everything else.

We had so much fun last year, and loved it again this year. We made sure to get there early so the boys would have some play time before all the big kids showed up and took over. My boys headed straight for the water slides and got thoroughly soaked. Samuel played in the water for about 45 minutes and then had to quit, he was shivering so badly. The boy has NO extra padding on him to keep him warm.

Adam stayed in the water for over an hour. He was so funny! He HATES getting water in his eyes, so he broke out his goggles and went for it! He went up and down the big slide so many times until he too couldn't take the cold anymore. Adam, at first, thought he would want to back and play some more after lunch, but he just couldn't take it anymore.

He insisted on eating his sno-cone before changing. He was huddled under a couple of towels with chattering teeth. So silly!

Well, once they dried off and ate they were eager to get back to the fun. One of Samuel's favorite things was the dunk tank. People who wanted to get dunked lined up on one side and those wanting to throw lined up on the other. Samuel liked doing both :)

Here is Samuel helping to dunk a willing victim.

Samuel went off to the bounce houses while Adam went on the pony rides and visited the petting zoo. Samuel didn't want to be near the "stinky, poopy smell".

A great afternoon and lots of fun! Love this time of year!

That looks like tons of fun! I miss having those fairs. I remember them while growing up. I have not seen a stake here yet do one of them. Such a shame!
