PAX and a Wedding

Aaron and I both left Oregon on the Thursday before Labor Day, but not together. Don't worry, it wasn't anything bad :) Aaron, Ben and some of their friends left for Seattle and the Penny Arcade Expo, while our boys and I drove home. Yup, I drove all the way from Monmouth, Oregon to Pasadena, California all by myself. That's 16 hours of driving, almost a thousand miles, with two little boys, without a DVD player, over the course of two days. And yes, Aaron knows that he owes me :D

They boys did fantastic! We'd explained everything beforehand and they were prepped to be really good. I promised that if they were good, we would stop at a hotel with a pool and eat at McDonald's for most of our meals. I had plenty of yummy snacks and toys to pass out and that seemed to do the trick. And Adam fell asleep for the last two hours of the trip! That's usually the toughest part of the trip.

Here's a pic he took of some of the crowd at PAX- there were over 50,000 people there! Aaron had one great day at the expo and then hopped onto a plane to be back home in time to be a groomsman for his buddy Bill's wedding.

The beautiful bride and groom.

My handsome hubby in the middle of the groomsmen.

It was a beautiful wedding and we had fun dancing and laughing with friends. Everything seemed to go smoothly and was fun. I think the groomsmen have the easiest jobs in a wedding. Just show up looking like you're supposed to and smile for the pictures, then enjoy the food and entertainment! Piece of cake!
