School and Ward Halloween Parties

Adam was home sick from school with a cold for most of the week, so we totally skipped all of his preschool festivities. He didn't mind so much, once we went to Samuel's school carnival.

Here they are eating cotton candy and waiting in line to go down the big slide set up on the field. They ate lots of yummy stuff, played games and then we left early to go decorate a room at the church for our ward's (congregation's) party that night.

I initially refused to buy new costumes for the boys since they have an 18 gallon Rubbermaid tote box FULL of costumes and dress-up stuff. So, for the party, they recycled their Jedi and Indiana Jones costumes.

Here is my costume that I MADE all by myself! Last year, when I was feeling so crafty after making Aaron's costume (that he wore again this year), I started making one for me. I was trying to hurry and finish it in time for last Halloween, but in my haste, I was totally botching it. So, I made myself stop and I decided to have it ready for this year. It was a lot of work and I feel pretty proud of myself for finishing it.

I feel bad, but we didn't get a picture of Aaron in his Jedi costume this year, but here's a picture of him in it at his lab. Some other people in his lab dressed up too. I think that says it all.

Here's a picture of some friends in very clever costumes. Those of you who have watched Sesame Street within the last few years should recognize these characters. If not, here's a link to them.
