Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Day, we went to Universal Studios, probably for the last time while we still live here in Southern California. Universal is having a 13 Days of Grinchmas celebration, which is their Christmas theme. They've shipped in real snow and have a tree lighting ceremony several times in the evening.

The snow was very hard-packed and almost impossible to roll, but they had this snowman already set up for just such a cheesy picture :)

On the studio tour, you usually go by some of the sets from the live action "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", but this time they had some actors there to perform one of the songs from the movie. Very cute and very fun!

We didn't stay long, we did our favorite rides and then headed home. That evening we watched the Charlie Brown Christmas movie and then the boys opened up their new Christmas pajamas.

I found these great sets that came with pjs, slippers, a travel toothbrush, a little flashlight and a carrying bag for them all. We then read the Christmas story from Luke 2 and then put the boys to bed. Samuel had a harder time falling asleep, but was out by 9:30pm. Not bad, considering how excited he was!
