No School = California Science Center

Friday, the boys didn't have any school due to a "Staff Development Day", so we headed to the California Science Center.  We were joined by our friends, Danielle and Michael.  This is a wonderful museum with lots of hands on exhibits and is one of the boys' favorite museums.  This time we finally made it all the way to the top floor and got to play in the Kids Korner.

 Goofy, cheesy grins.

Here we are, waiting to get in to play!  This section was supervised and geared to keep it uncrowded and safe for kids to play. There was a section with a frame of a small house and kids could add foam "boards" to the sides to make walls or windows.  Samuel loved it and used most of the pieces available before it was demolished by a 2 year old :P

Another favorite part was the dress-up area.  There were costume and a TV camera set up and Adam played the ham.  He loves putting on a show.  Samuel moved on to the other dress-up and play area that had astronaut suits and space shuttles!  It was so cool!

He loved playing the astronaut for awhile!

Adam eventually joined in and put on the astronaut's ground gear :)

We spent several hours there and when we reached melt-down point, we went across the street, picked up Aaron from work and headed home.  It was a great way to spend a rainy, no school day!
