Ward Campout at Leo Carrillo State Park

We had a great weekend! We went on the ward camp-out and had a blast. We camped overnight at the Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu and had plenty of good company, yummy food and games.

The boys did wonderfully and slept well. Samuel woke up at the crack of dawn (literally) and announced quite loudly, "It's morning! Time to get up!" I hushed him, kept him from waking up his brother and made him stay in bed for another half hour. I finally let him out when he mournfully declared, "I'm hungry! Please feed me!"

We broke camp and most of the group made it across the street to the beach. What a beautiful day for it! It was around 75-80 degrees with a light breeze and plenty of sunshine. We came home with some light sunburns, because I didn't get sunscreen on the boys fast enough. It was pretty hard to catch up to them!

We enjoyed the low tide and tidepools, and my boys loved the big rocks to climb on and explore.

They found a great cave that went through one side of a rock and came out of another hole on the other side!

The light to the left behind Adam shows where the other exit hole is located.

Plenty of sand had washed in and made it most comfortable for only little guys to go through.

We had a great time and came home happy and tired.
