On Friday, we went to the beach with a several of our friends. Danielle and Michael. Tomoe and her boys, Joshua and Brian. We hadn't seen Tomoe and her boys since we moved to Pasadena (a year ago) and it was great to see them! The boys had a blast playing and burying each other in the sand. We went to Zuma Beach which is about 12 miles north of Malibu. Beautiful beach! The water was a little rough and there were plenty of boogie boarders and surfers. We even caught a glimpse of dolphins! So cool!
All the boys, except Brian, wanted to be buried next to each other and they looked so funny with their little heads poking out of the sand! Here's a video clip.
After doing this a few times, we washed off and had lunch. The boys weren't very interested in the food, so while the moms ate, they decided to start burying "treasure". The game was that we couldn't look while they were burying things, and then we had to guess what "treasure" it was they had buried. It was always at least one of their sand toys and towards the end, they were burying anything that could withstand the sand.
Future Pirates!
The sky was a little overcast when we first got there, but the sun soon came out and warmed up us and the sand! I even got a little sunburned on my legs where I missed getting some sunscreen.
