Christmas

Christmas Day was wonderful! They boys woke up around 7:30 and promptly woke us up. They had been given strict instructions to come get Aaron and me before going into the living room. They were so excited and they loved all of their presents. The main thing Samuel asked for were Bakugans. They're like Pokemon, but not :P He's been asking for them since school started. T
They're rather popular down here, so popular, in fact, that it's difficult to find them. So, I sent out a call to family and friends to help us find them and Samuel got LOTS of Bakugans for Christmas.

He also got lots of Bakugan accessories (ie. the mat and thrower). This is one happy kid! The second present he opened happened to be a package of them and it was difficult to get him to move on to opening other presents. He would open a new present, exclaim happily about it and go back to the Bakugans :) If it happened to be more of them, then they would quickly be added to the pile.

Adam is a big fan of Toy Story and last year he got a Buzz Lightyear doll. This year he asked for and got a Woody doll.

The boys got lots of great and fun presents and they have been in heaven playing with them the last few days. The giant box of Legos was also a big hit.

This shirt was perfect for our Lego Star Wars fan!

Both boys also love the tool set Uncle Bill sent. Funny boy also insisted on being dressed the one time he was allowed to be in pajamas.

Aaron and I got some terrific presents too! Aaron got several new games and a rechargeable battery set. Necessary for those battery-eating Xbox 360 controllers!

This is a very, very happy Aaron.

I asked for lots of things that I needed replaced. I got new pots and pans, new dishes, and new 4-in-1 cake plate (Thank you, Mom and Dad B!). Aaron got me a pretty necklace to match the new ren faire gown I'm making. Aaron and I also have lots of shopping money and we're trying to decide what to get. Oh, what a blessing that is!

Later that evening we had a few friends over for dinner and games and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I made a big dinner (ham, 2 kinds of potatoes, gravy, salad, snacks, etc.) and our friends made dessert crepes. Yummy! Love crepes, and they're even better with whipped cream and strawberries in the middle!

Hi April,
I found your blog through Trina's. I'm glad you had a good Christmas. Do you do Ren Faires? Just curious as I'm active in the SCA and one of my blogs is devoted to it.
