Left to Right: Aaron, Joe, Dad (Randy) Brandon, April, Mom (Nancy), Amy holding Emma, Adam and Samuel
Aaron is standing on a step up to the stage on the left. He said it was so he could fit into the picture better, but I think he just didn't want to look short standing next to my brother and dad (wink). Aaron isn't short (he just under 6 feet), but my dad is 6'7" and my brother is 6'9". And, no, my dad and brother are not standing on a step. They really are that tall.
This sign made us giggle, but what else would you celebrate in Idaho?
Here's a fun sign that was up near Amy and Brandon's house. After church, we went to their house to celebrate Emma's first birthday. She has the same birthday as my dad and she is a Grandpa's girl! "Gampa!" is one of her first words and one of the few she repeats.
Here she is in the rocking chair Grandma and Grandpa gave her. She liked having a chair her size and also all of the attention focused on her.
Emma liked her cake, it had Big Bird and Elmo figures on top.
She is such a Grandpa's girl! Wanting to share her frosting.
Laughing at her cousins.
Samuel and Adam could hardly leave her alone. They did eventually desert her for Brandon's room full of Legos. Little boy bliss! There was a baby gate in the doorway to keep little fingers from getting a hold of the choking hazards.
Later that week, we made a stop by the cemetery to pay our respects to Grandpa and Grandma Arave. Turns out, Grandpa Arave was in charge of building one of the church buildings in Shelley. We miss them and my boys remember Grandpa in his chair and Grandma's dancing Santa Claus.
